Fabric Care

All our curtains are 100% polyester, printed by sublimation: heat turns the ink into a vapour that goes into the fibre itself, so the print won't crack, peel or feel stiff. They are machine washable, and a little care keeps the colours bright.

Before you begin

Always follow the care label on your curtains. Take them down gently and shake off the dust. Wash them on their own the first time, and one panel at a time so each can move freely. Our snap rings are rust-proof and can stay on at 30 °C.

Everyday care

Vacuum gently with a soft brush attachment, or shake the curtains out now and then. Like any printed fabric, colours can soften over time in strong direct sun; a lining or blackout layer protects the print.

Velvet

Machine wash at 30 °C on a gentle cycle, inside out, with a mild detergent and a short spin. No bleach and no tumble dryer: rehang while damp so the folds drop out. Don't iron the pile; steam from the back, then brush the pile in one direction.

Chenille

Machine wash at 30 °C on the most gentle cycle, or by hand, with a mild detergent and a short spin. No bleach and no tumble dryer; dry over two lines or flat to spread the weight. If needed, iron on the back at a low setting. Trim any loose loop with scissors; never pull it.

Matte canvas

Machine wash at 30 °C on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. No bleach and no tumble dryer: rehang while damp. Iron on the back at a low setting.

Dry cleaning

Please don't dry clean our curtains; a gentle 30 °C wash is kinder to the print. If you use a laundry, ask for a gentle wash, not dry cleaning.

Cushion covers

Unzip and wash the cover as you would the curtain fabric of the same kind; spot-clean the insert.
